While considered by some as effusive,
no sane one could think her abusive.
    With her sharpness of mind
    and shapely behind,
    her appeal is profoundly conclusive!

    :p

I haven't had a new car in aegis,
'Cos the wife takes all of my wages :( ,
But if i give her some lip,
    She cracks the big whip,
And the skin on my back re-arranges :ah:

Now before Si answers, let be this!
this'ere thread is under my aegis!
    you shan't insult dear Pol
    with his rhyming so droll
If I 'llow it again, it be remiss!

;)...... that wasn't easy..... forgive me!

And for variety... any dictionary site's word fo the day will do so long as you link to the definition.....

And no-one said it HAD to be in limerick form... Iambic pentameter or any other is fine so long as we rhyme ;)

I realise this thread is under your aegis,
But why do you think I'd insult Pol, Miss?
    He's a likeable guy,
    With a wit so dry,
It's HE who doth take the piss.

Hmm, it's now March 3rd and the word hasn't changed?

    :) ;)

Wake up and I moan and grunt
Still groggy from to much beer and to many blunts
Even AA thinks I'm too recalcitrant,
but twelve steps just isn't my style
chasing that high is more worthwhile

    Recalcitrant is as recalcitrant does
And he is as stubborn as there ever was!
    When asked "Why not obey,
Or do one thing my way?"
    He answers saucily "'Cuz!!"!

(Oh - and Si? Must work on US time... started with effusive, then aegis, now recalcitrant)

So I thought I'd write another Parable,
    Nothing big just something small,
About a certain friend of mine,
Who's hoping to be kissed by number nine ,
Who will be the lucky gal?
Or could it be a same sex pal?
We wait with baited breath and all,
    Until the next updated Parable.

    :)

    I just read a parable,
And man do I feel terrible
'Cause I've been livin' day to day,
    In a real unmoral way
Even though my status be marital

    (That wasn't too hard):confused2

I looked at the moon and saw a mare,
And wondered if anyone was up there,
Hidden in the darkness someone waving?
Or perhaps my mind was just misbehaving..
For it disappered when the moon became full,
Oh how could it be so cruel?
But I know that the mare will be back soon,
And maybe I'll see who's up there on the moon...
This time they'll emerge from the dark,
Their features appearing so bright and so stark,
    Floating across the orbital air,
Away from the dark on the moon called a mare...

    mare • \MAHR-ay\ • noun, plural maria
: any of several mostly flat dark areas of considerable extent on the surface of the moon or Mars

Its true, that I may be delireal
But I think that your ‘tively ethereal
    You reek of sublime
So I put forth in rhyme
    That you’re simply infatuate material!

I hope that see I am cross
and I'm tempted to issue volte-face!
    lest you redeem your ways
    be the fellow who pays
for a sundae all drowned in fudge sauce!

    please someone do better... yeesh!!
