Big L, 97 Frerestyle ft. Jay Z
I can't believe someone actually said Sean Paul is an excellent emcee. The guy isn't even hip-hop....
how can 50 cent or eminem not win this poll? they got a serious lock on the market right now . . .
50 cent HAS to be the best out right now, with his sales and medio exposer.. plus considering he has a new and original style to him, which is quickly getting played out, lol, but still.
now big_karl knows his stuff....what sort of poll is that? the people on that poll are not a patch on the talent thats out there.........
kool keith (dr octagon is king)
people under the stairs
theres so much good stuff....most of you people need to look harder for good hiphop...id say the only acceptable entry on that list is nas.....i mean 50 cent? the guy sucks really bad.....most overrated rapper ever...he can barely talk! whats so good about listening to songs where the mc's subject matter doesnt extend beyond money, guns, killing people, hoes? these guys have the iq of a dead ferret!
big up to necro and cage....eventhough they have their own so called "crazy" style, not a really big fan of em....but i gotta say that big_karl got a major point there
but i think the illest lyricist gots to be Juice....ive never heard any other mc verbally kill his opponent...without even mentioning guns and "rape ur moma" shit
and that man is underground...only been on underground white lable vinyls....he doesnt wanna go comercial..never heard of him??
check him out on "the wake up show" like 95-98...cant remmeber the year...after those years i gave up on hiphop...cant stand the bling bling shit...kills my nuts...allthough there are some underground peeps still out there keepin it real
#1 Rap Song
id have to say snoog dogg who am i (whats my name), soo catchy
Common - I Used To Love H.E.R
Bets song ever....
nuthin but a G thang.. ultimate classic. and rappers delight sugarhill gang
P Diddy's Shake ya tail feather is the best
I would say 2Pac - Changes, but I don't think that's a rap/hip hop song.
Best rap song
1. Sugarhill Gang - Rappers Delight
2. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message (with Melle Mel and Raheim on the Mic)
3. Afrika Bambatta & The Soulsonic Fore - Planet Rock
4. Kurtis Blow - The Breaks
These 4 songs are the reason rap music is the phenom that it has grown to be.
You could switch the numbers around because all of them changed music history.
hip hop nowadays sucks royal ass, its gone too commercial and all the artists are in it for the fame, makes me sick, thats why i listen to other genre's now, i used to listen to hip hop around 95-97 when it was all good!
my fave hip hop tune has got to be wu-tang clan - c.r.e.a.m, awesome tune, infact the whole enter the 36 chamberz is awesome especially m..e.t.h.o.d. man and tearz
respect to the oldies aswell, afrika bambaataa and sugar hill gang and so on
I would have to go with Loose YOurself by eminem
Still mef n Red. Blackout! baby
Well, it for me it has to be "Regulate" by Warren G. It may be the most underrated rap song ever. I don't know anyone who doesn't like this song, but no one ever mentions it when they start talking about great rap songs. Nate Dogg and Warren G... What a great song.
form my people-missy
No, you need to take it back to the oldschool!:boink:
Digital Underground - Doowutchalike - it r00ls!!
'03 Bonnie & Clyde - Jay-Z feat. Beyoncé
