Advice on soundcard required

    Can someone tell me a good (by good i mean affordable too) soundcard which will allow multiple, simultaneous track recording with ideally 8 ins and 8 outs min.
    any advice is great thanks

    Good and affordable are not two terms you can use in the same sentence in this game.

    I suggest you look at the DSP2000 C-Port - http://www.staudio.com/products/dsp2000/info.html - available for around the $450 mark.

    I had one of these (still got it, in fact, although it's been retired in favour of something else) and although it's not the finest bit of kit in the world, it's not bad and capable of acceptable results. Little around to touch it for the price.

    Yes - I'd be happy to sell it on, I have no further need for it.

    A friend in the USA was going to have it, but the transport costs proved prohibitive, so it's still hanging around here. As you're in the UK, that would not be such a big thing. Make me an offer via PM (or email me direct) and we'll haggle.
