    I'm looking for more good Bass and Drumkit fonts. I'll swap with you... Whacha got?

    Your Cakewalk problem sounds like a bad rip I've seen out there...
    If you're using a... um... Not-exactly-licensed-in-the-conventional-way version of CWP, it prompts you in the beginning saying you need Direct Show, and to reboot to install it?
    If that's the case, delete the teporary folder you installed the program from. That should take care of it. If not, I'd consider getting a different version. (or buying the licensed version ;))

    [textglow]Ya! I gotta use them just cuz I don't anything better. :rant:
    But I hate them!!!! They suck! I wanna save up my
    $$$ money and get a synth rack. Like the Korg Trition
    Which I hear is really something! But till them I'm stuck
    using the fonts.

    I messed around with soundfonts with my AWE 64 software (Vienna) even tried to make my own patch from a waveform I sampled from a buddies Marshall stack but decided I don't have the mental faculties to pull it off so I gave up(anyone want a good catfight sound font?) Now that I have CPA 9 I tried to enable sound fonts but it won't work. Any ideas?

    Soundfonts are a great thing to use. Whoever says they are not must have got some horrible soundfonts. All of my sequences consist of soundfonts, and sounds from a Roland JV-10-10. Im interested in trading soundfonts. I have so many its insane, but new ones are always nice. Hit me up with a message if anyone is interested.

    just to tell u buddy, Vienna makes a soundfont editing program, not soundfonts. As far as I know.

    `Im new to soundfonts but I'm looking for a good rock sounding drum kit`

    There is place called hammersound, it’s a .net not a .com, I would post the link but they seem to remove links if you add them to a post. If you go to Sounds>SoundFont Library>Drumkits and percussive kits>Page 2 there is a set called Gold Drums my “go to soundfont” for drums. Might also try the Tama Rockstar or PremierKit.

    I really can't say if they are the best drum fonts around, thats kind of subjective to what you want. For me they are the ones I use the most and feel I get the best results with. All I can offer is try every font your cant get your grubby little fingers on, or maybe download some demos of commercial fonts to buy. Or look into assembling your favorite parts of the different fonts into one kit.

    yea cool as. Thats what Im trying at the moment assembling the ultimate kit from different kits.

    but theres sooo many out there its a bit daunting at the start

    It just makes me think there must be someone out there who has assembled the ultimate kit and tweaked it up just right

    I'll get there
