It seems Apple has been doing a lot more lately with their company. Between new ads bashing windows and them buying out other companies they're making themselves a competator against microsoft. (there's a thought)

I'm just glad I use Cubase 5 (also) I doubt apple will buy steinberg anytime soon.. hahaha :laugh2:

I feel that since Apple has taken a more agressive stance towards competition they will boost their market share and reap some benefits.

hate to break it to you...but Emagic discontinued Logic for the PC after the merger was announced

Apples purchase of Logic does not really put a blow into Microsoft because they are not really in that business...
it does put ANOTHER blow into Avid, who makes video broadcasting software (Apple has Final Cut Pro) and Pro Tools (Apple just bought Logic)

Magix music studio deluxe is as close o logic as digitally possible. In fact, I think that it is the same program. And it IS availible for PC.
