Dan Radin wanted everyone in rec.music.makers.percussion to know that

according Kelly to (because of course I've asked before :), the
"Two Princes" snare was a 5.5x14" jarrah ply (which I have). I
believe she's also answered that question in here before.

however, I believe that the "Love Shack" snare was indeed a sheoak block
    7x12" (Steve Jordan, right?).

at any rate, I'm sure it's a great drum. it will be awhile before I get
it, I think. but I'm not in too much of a rush; I'm quite happy with
    what I have.

    Re: Mark Polis

I've always wondered who did the drumming on "Love Shack" myself. I'd always
imagined it to be Charlie Drayton (have you HEARD this guy's backbeat -
unbelievable), but other drummer have also claimed it's Steve Jordan. Anyone
    know for sure?

I use the quickest source at hand (hence the reason that I have three
e-mail accounts, and am a member of a dozen or so drum newsgroups).
However, you still did not answer my original question. Who did you
    purchase this drum from?

Better yet, buy the drum and then maybe we'll discuss it further.

    Re: Mark Polis

I have taken it to e-mail as you have requested. My primary snare is
    already a 12" snare - a Sheoak Block 12" x 7" to be precise (as I play
    a small set-up).

    Looking forward to your response,

    :) Kelly
