Do any of you bother with them? is there anything other than oo's & ah's to use??

Some songs I would love to play but really need backing vocals on them, I think recording a 2 or 3 part harmony is a bit much, is there anything I should know?

Ian, Don't use them even if you think you need them. I gig about 2-3 nights per week and check other solo/2-piece outfits when i can. I can assure you the one's using recorded backing vocals, no matter what the quality, make me cringe a bit. I really do without as even karaoke backing vocals are a bit of a no no. Do you gig on your own, maybe another member would do the trick.

Backing vocals really don't work if you are a solo act. Looks/Sounds too artificial.
