I'm just about to start lessons and I need to know what kind of Electric guitar would be good.
wow! theres so many options. Maybe we should narrow it down a bit.
what kinda music do u like/ want to play on it?
are you in a big city or have access to try out a lot of guitars?
Well go for something pretty cheap until you know whether you're going to keep it up or not....but at the same time don't just pick out any old piece of crap which will hinder your progress. Try and bring a guitarist with you when you go shopping. There's a copy of tthe Stratocaster called a Squier (think that's spelled right) which is pretty good for beginners.
Yea I started the guitar not long ago and I got a squire strat begginers pack from my local guitar shop and it gaves you all of the stuff u need to get started and its really cheap
Yeah.I found that pack.Im gonna buy it off ebay.Only $150.Pretty good deal huh?
I have a Squier Fat Strat. For $230 bucks it's pretty good. I'd try somewhere between the Fender and Squier as they are both relatively the same almost. Really good beginner guitars.
I would recommend a Squier Stratocaster. Those have a good price to start with and look like the normal Fender Strat. My guitar teacher used to have a Squier Strat and me Fender Strat for $250. There wasn't any clear difference in sound and handling.
In my oppinion you can almost play any kind of music on Strat and it even comes with a tremolo.
If you're going the Squier Strat route, I'd recommend that you pick up a Yahama Pacifica 112 instead. It's similar, but the build quality is a lot better and you're more like to be able to play it straight out of the box whereas you may need to take a Squier to a tech and have them set it up properly for you.
If you want to spend a couple hundred more, buy a PRS Tremonti SE ($405 from elderlys.com)
hope you get this before you buy one, i think the most important thing is to take someone along who knows guitars ( has been playing fo at least three years) so they can ,make sure you don`t buy a dud, there are some crap guitars out there & you have to know what to look out for , warped necks etc.
good luck & may the force be with you
yeah the squires are actually really good
I started playin with a Fender Squier..... not that expensive and quiet good. Good guitar for beginners.....
Yep, Squiers are a good choice. not too expensive and good quality.
start with a simple cheap guitar. If you want to stop playing guitar than you didn't pay 2mutch monney.
buy a fender squire stratocaster, greatest guitar for newcommers, because of the shape, it is very confortable.
i started to play a couple of months ago and i got a Fender Squire.
I'd recommend a low end Yamaha Pacifica, it's very good for the price
You can't go wrong with a Strat..
