I would like to know too... but I'm thinking of buying a Yamaha C40, but you'd better ask a professional about it.

definitely nylon string acoustic and not something you pick up from the flea market or boot sale. it doesnt matter if it is cheap.
you want to check the neck is straight, and that the strings do not touch the fret and that you can tune it.
practise every day for only about ten minutes, cause it hurts for a few weeks.
    hope this has helped.
    good luck.
get someone to tune it for you before you try teach yourself.

Ibanez Concord. Not very expensive, nice with new strings.

Art & Luthiere are pretty great too. Solid top back and sides.
