    Everybody's got a favorite -
I love high-end Takamine and Alvarez.

    Acoustics.

    :assskake:

Hey, I have owned a few acoustics including Gibson and Fender but I recently bought a Seagull electric acoustic. It is an absolute beaut!
Beats any other I've had by a long shot.

    Acoustic Guitars: Players choice

Accoustics are like shoes, once you get a comfortable pair nothing esle stacks up. I have several guitars , Gibson DOve, Ovations, Martin, Taylor and soon an Olson (another 4 months to wait, its been 16 months), every guitar sounds different and play different, I also have a TAC, paid 245.00 for it plays like a dream. So to answer your guestion, plan to own a few and play every brand you will know when the shoe fits.

I once did a roadie Job for john denver and got to know his guitar tech and was shown some taylor guitars. Since then I haven't played anything better. There are martins that come close and some Matons (patriotism here). Bang for buck matons are great value, but if you have US$ or Euros get a martin or taylor...

Well, speaking from my guitarist boyfriend's point of view...he says he likes his Maton and Gibson (Les Paul). But as far as I'm concerned, what would a drummer know about guitars?!!!

i have a seagul acoustic which is just fantastic. Many hours in shops comparing matons to this canadian guitar and it stands out and as a bonus is more affordable, that is until seaguls become known in oz!!!

i also have a godin electric which simulates acoustic guitar and it does it pretty well. The early godins were better at that though.... just my opinion.

I can't afford a dedicated electro-acoustic guitar amp so I have to put it through the P.A. Out of the 4 guitars I have the takamine sounds most natural when amplified - plus it's lovely to play.

A small Martin New Yorker - NY016. Surprisingly loud for its size, it records brilliantly

Anyone use an archtop guitar at all? I have an Epiphone Olympic from the 1930's. Amazing sound. I also own a Korean Mountain semi-acoustic jazz guitar, which was cheap, but sounds like nothing else I have ever heard. Brands are one thing, but sometimes there are freaky instruments just waiting to be found.

I've got this classical Martin that my mom bought in 1970, and it's been sitting in a box for decades so it's still in great condition... sounds amazing!

I have an ovation which is quite nice

But my favourite which i am getting is the Yamaha APXT-1N. It's the size of an electric , but it's electro acoustic and it's really nice to play
