Could any of you fine people out there pass on their views as to what is the best software for converting midi files to musical notation/score and/or guitar tablature? Any and all opinions welcome.

for notation, i use cakewalk. i find it to be the best although people argue that Sibelious is the best. It depends what you want to do with it.

Finale produce one called Opus Lite, or Amadeus which converts your midi files into a score. In the score you can extract just one line or a few and resave as another score, so you get full score and melody line etc. Cost was about £89.00 pounds sterling. I use it quite a lot.
