    Hi everyone,

I'm just getting into computer based recording and I want to record rock music. I am looking to buy cubasis vst 4.0 as a sequencer and then use steinbergs LM4 to create "live" drums.
Is this software suited to what I want to do, or is there something better out there in the same price range?
I also want to use midi backing tracks and replace the midi drum tracks with sampled tracks using the LM4. Is this viable?

    Thanks for any help!!!!

    Hi emjaypee

I use Cubase 5VST, I think Cubasis is the cut down version. LM4 drums are very good for your drum tracks as they are samples I believe. You could try some VST plugins like Sampletank which gives you more variety of drum sounds, or one of the Hi tech music mags gives free samples on the cover disc.
