I have used Cake walk to sequence backing tracks for a backing track band for about 2 years. I am happy with it overall, but i find when sequencing songs such as "The Killers - Somebody Told Me" which i have just done, the synth slides at the start are so time consuming and the functions in cake walk are difficult to understand...

    Any thoughts?

Are you using the piano roll view to do controller work? I'm not familiar with the song, so I'm not sure what you're up against. But bends and slides shouldn't be much of a problem for Cakewalk... what version have you got?

Piano roll view is great for easily ajusting controllers.

If you're wanting more precise control, you can also use the Event List View, which will allow you so see everything that's happening.
