Hey! Is there a program out there that can change seperate Midi file instruments, without the use of a PC midi keyboard? I know my friend had one, but I can't remember what it's called. Thanks!

Most every MIDI program can work independently from a keyboard... several of our sequencers don't even HAVE a keyboard (dunno how they do it)... cakewalk, noteworthy composer, music sculptor...

I think you might be lookin for a program called cubase vst..Some of
my friends have it..I will try and find out more about it.I use cakewalk myself..
I just take midi files and change the keys
    or tempo,mute instruments with it..
So i can play guitar along with the files.

There are several free programs out there as well, including the popular Anvil Studio.

    Not Sound Forge

Sound Forge can't make Midi Patch changes to my knowledge. Its primarily an audio program, not midi.
