Anyone here listen to any Christian rock? If so who are your favorite bands?
finally someone i can relate to...
Jars of Clay
Depends what you call rock, but some of my favorite Christian artists are Supertones who are sort of Ska/Punk, Plankeye is rock, Cadet is just awesome (they play before Sonic Flood concerts), and I personal love Pops Body Shop.
I'm playin in a church band here in Germany. We're rocky and jazzy but our miniser complained we would play enough christian music. Do you have a suggestion for us? That'd be great! Thanks.
it's hard to find a good Christian rock band esp when u're living in a Muslim country..however,my church invites bands from USA and organise Christian rock concerts sometimes..
i love Kutless..they're great...they're hard rock..can anyone recommend me any other good Christian rock bands?
remember stryper from the 80s such a good christian hard rock band all black and yellow
well...there are christian songs in different languages but they aren't really rock. They're kind of like those old ceremony songs but they sound really cool. They're greek I think.
there's this bamd Switchfoot a friend told me about but i like hard rock so i didn't quite like their track
aren't P.O.D christian?
Payable On Death
yes, they are..i have both their albums but i don't like all of the songs..only the singles seem to be good..i still haven't found a band that can beat Kutless
even the other day when i was watching WWE Tough Enough 3 they had 2 of Kutless' track playin in the background..and according to my friend they were featured on alternativeaddiction.com
they're probably pretty big in the usa
Well, I guess it all depends on what style of music you like as to what is out there. Personally I like harder sounds. POD is good. Evanescense is another gothic christian band. ( I know what people are saying but if you listen to the music they are talking about God and even say Christ). Thousand Foot Krutch is another one I like. There are alot of unsigned bands that are good too. Naos Project is one that is really good. They are soooo much better live than recorded. http://www.naosproject.com
I also enjoy Chasing Furies,Jars of Clay, Iona,Nichole Nordeman...
Just a few to put out there.
I sure do listen to Christian Rock . . my all time favorite band is Switchfoot!
Switchfoot is really good. If you're looking for more great christian bands check out christianrock.net.
My faves are Relient K, Sanctus Real, 12 Stones, and Chevelle
12 Stones n Chevelle r Christian bands? Whoa, I never knew that..thanx 4 da web site..are there any other websites where i can sample their music first?
Switchfoot are really good,
Delirious? are giants in the UK, they are really good, and varied yet manage a distinct sound. They range from rocked up, to rock worship and spacey sounds.
SonicFlood, you might want to check out.
Kutless, D.C Talk, LifeHouse,
If you like the punk side of things Relient K
on the harder side Opeth
Phatfish (although they might just be a UK thing)
I can think of more, what sort of rock are you into?
Relient K is good =)
thnx..i've heard 2 switchfoot, delirious, sonic flood, kutless have their album and i love em,dc talk,lifehouse...but out of all i only like kutless..i love hard rock or sumthing metal..some disturbed-like band maybe...i'm very fussy when it comes 2 music..has 2 b perfect..lead singer with a deep voice and good guitar..so far only kutless fits my liking..
Delirious? get my vote. Other than that I'm fairly conservative(ish). I like some of the raunchier Hillsongs stuff and I really like 'Prophesy' by CCC Oxford Falls (I think).
Not all bands who mention Christ is a Christian band..my sis was watching MTV and when asked to comment on being referred as a Christian band Evanesence said that they're not a Christian band..they're just another gothic alternative band trying 2 be different from the rest..
ooooooooh i love Christian rock!! my fav bands are: switchfoot, audioA, delirious, kutless, sonicflood, lifehouse...
