This is probably the third MIDI that I've ever tried to sequence. It really isn't done, but I would like to know if I'm heading in the right direction. Oh well, thanx everyone.

It can't be that bad! I hope. 4 downloads. No replies. So this is how Charlie Brown feels....

    Oh well. Life goes on.

I'll respond because anyone who sequences deserves recognition--but I don't really feel qualified since I don't know how to do it myself. But I think I do have a good ear. I have a karaoke version of this song and I compared them. I do think you are on the right track. But I don't care much for the sound of your syn strings. They need to be cut back, their pitch fixed, or something. I don't like the way they sound in lots of midis--not just yours, believe me. I often end up editing them out.
The rest was pretty good! Keep up the good work! Terry

    RE: Clocks...

It took me awhile to respond because I'm not familiar with the song. Now that I've heard the original, I have to say I'm impressed.
You've done a very good job on this sequence.
Keep up the good work. i look forward to more of your posts.

    A very good midi

I dont actually know too much about creating multi-channel midi, but i think that perhaps a different type of synth sound for the strings. Also i get a slight echo effect on the piano (kinda like a reverb) not sure if u meant it that way. But n e ways, a good midi that i will use for a ringtone. :-d

do post it again if u update tho :p

Getting there mate, there's a few notes out on the main piano riff, I could correct them myself and post the file back to you if you want, or I could just tell you the notes. It does sound like you're heading in the right direction tho, bear in mind that the piano in the original has tons of reverb on it. And a suggestion for the synth strings, perhaps a really soft choir voice or some kind of mellow synth pad with a really soft tone would suit this song better. I'm looking to start sequencing this song myself, but want to see where you get to first.

    Best of luck mate

Nice job. I love Coldplay's new stuff, and you've done them justice with that MIDI. Hope your others are that good. :D
