I''ve used it..and alot of radio stations use it.

I use to work at a radio station..is is very easy and packed with so many professional audio editing tools.

It's the best around in my view

I use it all the time to make loops, and it's good for remixing songs too.

    cool edit

It is an excellent program. Although it is mostly used in broadcasting. It is a powerful mulitrack nonlinear system. Several companies have control surfaces for it, including Mackie. You put it in a PC with a firewire card, add a couple of interfaces like the new MOTU 828MkII, and you are set. They were just bought out by Adobe. It is now called Adobe Audition.

Just downloaded it last night. I can not believe I was missing this. Cool Edit Pro replace four other progams on my HD! However, ModPlug Player is still the easiest for assigning loop points to a sample.

I use it this from many years ago (sorry for my so bad english !)!
I got and SoundForge , and WaveLab , and others but this is the best in my opinion (talk about the last version - 2.1)!
Have only one restriction : don't know VST plug-ins , but this can be solved : use a VSTtoDX converter to make the VST plug-ins usable in CEP ! Here you have a solution :

After using Sound Forge for some time, I tried Cool Edit. It has become my favorite in almost no time... :)

Coll edit 2 is honestly the best out there so far for sound editing ,
when it comes to MIXING i wouldn't bet much on it cuz you can't use custom skratching mixing which takes away a few points but it has a good status for mixing ...

I once had a version of it but I deleted it cause it wouldn't work on my computer. It wouldn't open. Maybe since I got it off of Kazaa..
