I have always used Cubase from the old Steingberg Pro24 and now use Cubase vst 5.0 Have never used Logic or Cubase SX. VST currently works fine for me these last few years. Either way make sure you have a good sound card with a very low latency less than 7ms.

It depends on your OS. If you're running a mac - go with Logic and Midi-Man or M-Audio gear and interfaces...

if you are using a windows-system i would prefer cubase, since it "invented" the asio technology. so if you have a good asio-compatible sound card the best choice is cubase

Logic's slightly more hardware dependant & tough to get a hang of.. so i prefer cubase

    Mh,

what do you prefer: Ferrari or Lamborghini? Features, price etc. are nearly the same. Check yourself which one is better to handle for you. I work with Cubase since the very first VST Release and I´m very happy with it. Only thing I don´t like is the SX interface, I preferred the "old" VST 5 interface style. Matter of taste anyway...both progs are great!

hey guys, I had this dilema a while back but after useing both
Cubase SX was the way to go for me.
I'm a big software user and it seems cubase is better for vst plugins.

Cubase SX 2 is out and well...........Damn its good!
