    I can't tell, S series? I'd be jealous if I didn't already have a set
almost identical. (I've got trap and drum cases for it, too.)
    Wait a second....only $2K?

    I changed my mind. I'm jealous. ;o)

How the hell did that get by the "snipers"?

Great deal, but were you a little hesitant as there were no real pictures,
and this is the only item this seller has ever had on eBay? Every one of
his 31 feedbacks was from a purchase, not a sale, and he has no other items
on eBay now, either. Did he send you the real pictures? That would change
it for me. Hopefully he did. I would be very surprised if the kit actually
had the 5000 series tom holders with 6-sided stems for Delite (AX-6) like in
the pic from the price list (the pic he had attached to the auction). I've
had mine on order for over a year...:( And he needs to go look at the
badges to see how to spell Delite...

Don't mean to be a bummer for ya man, I really hope it's everything he says
it is. Please keep us posted. I'm just always nervous being an eBayer's
first customer, 'specially for something this expensive and complicated.

    Keep in touch Evan!

Damn, how did I miss that one. That is a total steal with all the cymbals.
The drums alone are worth 2k.

No, second highest Delite series. Just below the Designer, and I bet they
sound better too. Thinner shells than the Designer, which I think are too
thick for maple imho. Plus it's in that great birdseye maple finish. Evan
got $4000 worth of drums and cymbals for 2K.

Hopefully Evan will let us hear them. It was certainly a steal. I not to
sound defensive but you can hear mine on Patti LaBelle's grammy winning live
cd (it's the set I got from John (Kenny) Blackwell). And for the record it
didn't improve my playing ability one iota (as I had hoped).)

Great grab. I would love to check out a Delite kit, but I don't get why Sonor
only makes them in 80s power sizes.

The birdseye finish is real nice. I think they only make them in the
    "fusion" sizes aka 12 x 9, 10 x 8, 14 x 12 etc. I would think that the
thinner shells and the lighter, but still very nice suspension system would
really make them sound nice. They are still made in Deutschland too. Sonor
really does have there arrogant head up there arse when it comes to just
about everything. I would think that in this economy they would lighten up
a little and start catering to people's wants.

    Tony,
I talked to the seller over the phone at length before I "bought it now", and I
received jpegs of specific parts of the kit that I requested. It's all good.

Cool. If it all works out, you got one of the best deals ever. You should
be able to sell the cymbals and hardware off and just about have a free kit.

At least they are available in 10x8 & 12x9 (but not in shell sets)
    http://www.sonor.de/neu/german/drums/delite2.htm
(seems like the english pages are not updated with this info)
