I download with Kazaa lite but like others have said it's gone down hill. It's almost impossible to get good versions of the newer tracks. It's a bit better for older music. I'm a musician and I don't think it's a bad thing to download. I still buy music I really like if it's on sale though. I find most albums these days have only a couple of songs that are good, the rest are just fillers. We shouldn't have to pay for a full album if there's only a singles worth of music on it. Besides most of the money off a album goes to marketing and retailers, the artists get the least.

a long time ago i used morpheus all the time. then it shut down so i moved on to WinMX. winmx has had no prob and it works real well. last yr i tried kazaa but found it had to much adds and troubles so i got rid of it and hav been using winmx since.
i listen to metal from the 80's and stuff like that, but i usually 'sample' music before i buy it.

but i definately dont download music illegally, so dont com arrest me.

Kazaa as way too many viruses and spyware for me, that's one reason that I don't like.

Plus it's not exactually helping the artists make any money, for their work. ;)

I download mp3's online and then if I really like the artist, I will buy the CD. I mostly do it to filter out the crappy music :p

    I do download.

But if I like more then 2 songs I also buy the album as well... Things may be different if they still released singles that had a remix or 2.
