No-one will kill anyone for their opinion here......

My drink changes with my mood but....
    My CURRENT favorite list:
    1. Tanquerey and Tonic, extra lime.... you can't beat it - refreshing, light, not too sweet, I've never had a gin hangover and, as a bonus, it lowers my inhibitions WAY before my acuity and abilities wane ;)
    2. A new holiday favorite..... 2 parts egg nog (the pasteurized stuff please) and 1 part Smirnoff's Vanilla Twist - over crushed ice. It's a desert drink fershure, but very festive with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
    3. Gin and Fresca..... See #1
    4. Frozen Marguaritas... or unfrozen with lotsa ice
    5. a good White Zinfandel
    6. An occasional Yeungling Lager (tavenger will know about these ;))
    7. Leftover vodka in the blender with a pleasant blend of frozen juice mixes consisting of whatever's left in the freezer after we make the drinks we planned to make....

Aside from those... Ummm - I dunno, I don't drink much

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a drunk. I drink 1 sixpac sunday night... that's it, I work almost all the other nights of the week, in pubs and clubs, and I see every day and night what alcohol can do to a person... on the same token, i get pretty pissed on one sixpack!!

And no, alcoholism isn't genetic. My old man drinks a bottle of rum, and more, every night of the week.

i drink almost any kind of alcoholic beverages except gin, rum, brandy and cognac.

i love chasing tequila with beer.
i drink scotch on the rocks.
    i drink boiurbon with coke.
i drink wine -red wine- when i have to sing in a gig.
i like homebrews but they just make me feel full quickly.
baileys, kahlua and ivanilla ce cream is a great mix!

after mentioning all those things, eventually i still come home to beer.

An alcoholic beverage, dark and slightly thick, with a distinct almondy flavour(I think anyway)

I usually have one beer after a gig! Totally medicinal to sooth the throat. Plus it's usually a staffy, (Free drink from the pub).

I also have a really good red wine rack that I don't touch that often but when I do I give it quite a good nudge! But that's mainly just to collect.

I wonder how many working musicians drink more than a few at their gig.... Not many in Australia these days. Too many cops out there to take your licence!

I've gotta go with da beer...
Not just any ole stuff, mind you.
I'm partial to dark beers, ambers, bocks - stuff like that.
    Busch - yuck.
Budweiser - only in an emergency.
    Coors - Never.
Rolling Rock - When I feel in a Pale mood.
Milwaukees Best (and other filth of this caliber) - not on your life.

Aside from that, I enjoy Flaming Dr. Peppers (on occasion):
3/4 pint of Bud Light (HAS to be Bud Light, or doesn't taste right) with a shot of 1/2 Bacardi 151, 1/2 Amaretto.
Light the shot, quickly drop it in the Bud and slam it.
*Author is NOT liability for what might happen if you overdo it on these - which isn't too hard*

    Or a 4 horsemen:
A shot comprised of equal parts Johnny, Jim, Jack and Jose. A splash of Wild Turkey is option, but not recommended for safety reasons...

I usually stick with beer, but NEVER have more than 2-3 when performing or doing studio work. Even at loose, get together jam sessions, I rarely have more than a couple.

if i'm playing with my duet (jazz to pop jazz and RnB music), i just mingle after drinking wine.

now if i'm with my rock group, usually i'm drunk during the last set. then we drink some more after that. doesnt actually matter till what time we drink out. no law against it here. sometimes after a gig, (around 2am) we continue drinking till around 6am, wait for around 30 min then head to the nearest mcdonalds or cafe or foodstore for breakfast.
