Gameport from HELL

  1. Little dramatic, but here's my problem: Cakewalk & Windows XP do not
recognize my gameport as a midi in/out. I have the latest drivers
installed for my VIA soundcard. Anybody know what my problem is, I'd
    really appreciate it.

SPECS: Athlon XP 2200, 256 MB RAM, 60 GB HD, VIA Soundcard
    Roland JV-80 Synth

  2. Hi,

have You switched on onboard MIDI in the BIOS settings? The onboard MIDI and
onboard sound have separate settings, so You need to turn on both of them.

    Regards,
    Lutz.
