How did any of you start gettin in to making music in MIDI format... Just wondering if it is hard
It's like anything ... there is a learning curve. I started when I joined a duo ... the midis my partner was using sucked at times so I started playing with them to make them better. Over time I began creating from scratch. You are always learning.
Like now ... I am starting to get into home recording ... the learning curve starts again ... laffs
I got into midi programming when our band couldn't find a decent bass player. We used click tracks to cue our drummer and from there we went and became a pretty good band in our area. Then the band broke up and I ended up working in duo's. From there, it's a huge never ending learning curve. If you take the time, it can be quite rewarding.
I never touched midi until a year ago when i started a degree in music production now i cant live without always learning but give me more..more..more
