    Strokes

    Last Night goes over big.

Also have good luck with Cumbersome...seven mary three. Of course, most of our stuff is working pretty well, they just seem to go extra nutz over these.

I thought this was a "Songs you'll never miss playing"!!!

    The songs I dread are,

    National Express
    Supreme - Robbie
    and Daydream Believer.

They get me down big style!!

Know where you're coming from, Ronny

Songs I can't stand anymore would be

    -most of our set

There's nothing to put you off a song more than performing it 50 times!

Dance the Night Away simply does my head in

I'm right there with you guys who don't like the Khe Sahn, Brown Eyed Girl. Thier the ones you go to sleep and think about what you're doing the next day while you're playing then. Ha Ha!!

I think mu biggest song are all the oz rock like Better-Screaming Jets, comin Home-the Radiators, Like Wow-Hoodoo Gurus!

thought. I'd just answer both questions.

And I'm pretty sure that Neil Diamond wrote I'm a beleiver and that was the Monkeys first hit! Could be wrong though!

    100% Correct Besty...
Neil(the god that he is) wrote I'm a believer..was performed by the Monkeys...then Neil performed it @ about 14 shows or somthing...then nothing heard of it till Shrek

Great song.. I love the way Smashmouth breathed new life into it...and I am sure Neil is happy about the xtra royalties...not that he needs them ;)

My Fav song performance wise @ the moment is Screaming Jets - Better...which is really interesting considering I have A chickie singer. But somehow it seems to work.

Oh and Complicated - avril Lavigne....first setter material.

    How familiar is this?

Last Friday we were playing in a pub. We like it there because we get to play Oasis, Stereophonics etc... We did Suspicious Minds for the youths in the audience and after one more song a slightly inebriated person' ...ahem....came up and said
    "Play Elvis"
"We just played Elvis," I replied patiently replied..
    "Play another one"
"We don't do any more" we lied (we just didn't want to)
    "Ye must know more Elvis"
"Sorry... haven't got them with us"
(incidently ... a lot of this happened in the MIDDLE of a song ... er .... HELLO ... I'm actually PLAYING at the minute)
AT last ... he sat down...

After another song ... Back he came ...
"Play Elvis " as if the conversation had never taken place
"Sorry Mate... haven't go any" and so it went...

Our hero went to the toilet and his girlfriend put in a request for him.... Yup.... Elvis....
"We've already done Elvis" etc... etc...

Another song .... up he comes again ... "Play Elvis" ... slightly more slurred. By this time we were really pissed off.... We ARE NOT doing Elvis .... We're SICK of ELVIS... IN FACT... WE FeCKIN' HATE ELVIS....."

A strange look came over his face ... he paused ... he thought ... the cogs in his head turned and he said ...

"Do you know Blue Suede Shoes????"

We roared ... I suppose you had to be there ... A real 'Father Ted' ... Dougal Maguire' moment ...

    Anyone else know the feeling?????

    regards... Woodsy

Something similar was in Coleraine when a girl asked us to play some country. We said we only do one country song and that is Dwight Yokham, Fast as You.

    We played it.

2 songs later she came up ask asked, "When are you gonna do that country song then?"

Mabye we rock it up too much!!
