I have been using Izotope Vinyl for vocal effects for my recordings.
The effect settings that I use is that everything (flutter, dust,
scratches, warp, etc.) is turned off and I have the year setting on
1930. It gives me this nice low-fi sound.

I am gearing up for some potential live performances and I was
wondering if there was a way I can create the above sound in a live
application with microphones, fx units, eq, or something.

I'm not PRO-audio at all and would appreciate any help that someone
could dole out to my ignorant arse.

    thanks.

Are you using a computer in your live setup? If so, and it's fast enough
(with low enough latency drivers) you can use that plug live.
