Help with recording

    what would be the best program to use to get good quality recording

    Cubase is fine..........however, a good quality recording is also dependant upon many aspects such as:-

    -Quality of mics, guitar, cables etc.
    -Quality of recording hardware (eg: Soundcard)
    -Performer

    Here are some other programs you may want to consider:
    -Digital performer (macintosh based;audio and midi)
    -Soundforge by sonic foundry (PC based; only Audio)
    -Cool edit pro (PC based; only Audio)

    Try Sonar XL 2.0 ... This program is all you should need. Actually, I would compare Sonar to Pro Tools, I've been using Cakewalk since version 1.0

    I'll second the SONAR nomination, although the XL version is not a necessity.
