Can someone please help me. I recorded a friend through my mixer panning left on the voice and right on the music so that I can balance it out later. I recorded it to minidisc but I now want to record it on to my pc so that I can edit it with sound forge 5. How do irecord it on my pc so that i am getting two tracks one vocal and one music and be able to play them at the same time

Exactly - the music is going to be all mono though.
Cool Edit Pro, WavLab, etc are good for this...
Haven't played with Soundforge much - I don't think this is Multi-track software is it?
With Soundforge, you can create 2 mono tracks from the 1 stereo track you're going to record into your Machine - you need multi-tracking software to play them together.
