Ok, I'm using a software Singing Coach Unlimited and want to import a midi file into it,
But it gives me an error saying that there is no melody on midi channel 4.
According to the help section i need a Standard MIDI File(.mid), type 0
    GM Authoring
Melody and lyrics must be on track 4
Delta time must be in TPQ (not SMPTE)
How do i create such a track. I've exported a midi from guitar pro and want to edit this one to make it compliant with the above specs.
    Please Help.

Hi Most midi files are in format 1 because it will show all the tracks so it's easy to edit, format 0 is all the instruments are in one track, if you want your midi in format 0 and it's on format 1 you can down load a free midi 1 to 0 converter or a multi converter to convert to any format from 0 to 2 which 2 is rearly used, if you want to change an instrument say an Organ to Sax well another free program you can use is " Anvil Studio" when your saving your sequence from guitar pro save the song as a standard midi file guitar pro has it's own format and you can't edit your file with other software
    hope this helps
