i can only put 30kb of a midi on my cell. and i need to shorten some midis. anyone know how?
use a midi program and cut off some of it.
i tried...Anvil Studio...couldnt get it workin....so ill more than likely need instructions. :borg:
dere are programs that can edit audio/video files
I agree with your statement. If you meant that as a question, check out the Digital Audio and Recording forum. I am sure you will find at least a good audio editing program. For the video part, try another message board, for MIDI has nothing to do with video.
Try downloading the psmplayer on www.myt610.net
It is the the windows file of the software area. You can edit and even make it louder.
with anvil studio load the midi then find the place u wanna cut it go to FILE then TRUNCULATE and HERE TO END or whatever it says
I can also recommend PSM Player. It works very well.
hm, I should try that program too.....I also tried using Anvil Studio to shorten midi files, I cut the first 5 seconds and then the rest of the midi files sounded completely different, does anyone know what the reason could be?
you must be attention at the very firs begining of the midi files: is there where it "says" to the sound source wich sound to play, at a certain volume, pan, efeects, etc. so you can´t simple cut the first seconds of the file, better way: you can cut ONLY the notes, not this instructions. you must filter in oder to see only the notes, leaving those instructions: this are the must important one: CONTROLLER 07 (MAIN VOLUME OF THAT TRACK), and the PROGRAME CHANGE (tells which sound to play on that track)
I hope it helps, and sorry my english
it´s also important that a brief rest be inserted between the control messages (program cang anda Volume) and the first notes. this will allow the phone to aplly all the param before the music actually begins.
use cooledit 2000, get it from download.com
I agree, PSMPlayer is the easiest of all to cut midi files.
often wondered as well. thanks for the tips.
