You can make midis using sequencing software.
Try this website to see some of the different programs available
    Cakewalk

You could always try the Requests Forum for any midis you need urgently, i'm sure there's someone who could help you.

u can download free programmes of the net. but a lot of them are complicated and take ages to work out how they work. then it takes ages to make the midi. i wanna make one - but i dont think i got the time. :-(

Well, for starters, you can't convet MP3 to midi - so you can forget all about that nonsense.

The important factor which seems to be left out of answers to the question 'how do I make a midi' is that you need, at least, a modicum of musical skill. Midi is really something designed for the making of music - so you need to be able to do that before you start amassing a ton of software and hardware.

There are a lot of free sequencing-programs on the net. ( e.g simple but good is anvilstudio (www.anvilstudio.com).
Other ones like Steinberg Vst and Cakewalk sonar are quite expensive.
If you have a midikeyboard plug it in your pc (usb), adjust the midi-settings (= not so very difficult) and just play the different tracks ( bass, guitar, ... )
If you don't, then buy some sheet music and put the notes in track by track, step by step.
Don't forget one thing. you'll need at least some musical skills.

There are many ways to create midi files.
    Here are some of them:

    • Use a computer, that has a midi sound card, with sequencing software (such as Sonar, Cakewalk etc.)
    • Use a synth module, (expensive) that has built-in midi creation capabilitiys.
    • Use a keyboard that has a built-in version of, say, Cakewalk.
    • There are other ways to create midis too, but it can get expensive.

If you use a synth module or keyboard make sure that they also have 3 1/2 floppy drives or [to host] connections that allow you to connect the device to a computer so you can save you files and transfer them to a computer. If you use a [to host connection than you'll need interface software such as SoundDiver that can communcate with your equipment.
