I just wanted to wonder how much midis have you sequenced in your life?
I've done three. They are all songs I've written myself.
I actually haven't done any yet because i no nothing about guitar rifs or anything like that
im a bass player and that pretty much says it all. . . lol
but i will make some soon enough.
Ive done about six so far. Im currently working on another one which i think will be a hit.
Well - if you meen original midis it's about ten I think. When it comes to midis that I have made to other artists or made from other artists it must be up around 150-200 midis.
As you understand I have been working
with midis for many years.
It is fun!:boink:
lots - ever since late 1998
Lost count been going since 1997
Too Mini MIDI
If you count the first hundred or so I did before MIDI came out, using a Roland (SYNC-24) TR-808 and a Roland TR-303 Bassline, then i would guess somewhere around 400.
Of all of those tunes, less than 30 are orginal. And... I have only done about 40 or so sequences over the past ten years.
I should also admit that the last 70 or 80 sequences finally started to demonstrate any quality.
I finally got pretty good at loosening up the feel on drums and bass, as well as getting somewhat of a feel for guitar comps and brass sections.
Hey guys dont forget to post some of the files you've done in the self- sequenced forum.
Just did VOG check out my version of miserlou in the self sequenced section
I've made a fair few midis...but i have this problem where i start a song and do about the first 30 seconds and then stop for no good reason at all...lol. I think it's because i'm lazy.
yeah, I hear what you're saying -Mm-. Sometimes I go the other way though, where I'll start a song and just sit there for hours doing it , won't move won't eat, sometimes have to remind myself to breathe.
nice work xayissa! good ear to hear all that fast piano stuff. sounds cool!
took me ages I think I got RSI from it--lol
know what you mean
Yipes....I think my first sequence consisted of bouncing tracks from 2 tape recorders back and forth adding a new track each time until there was basically more tape hiss than music....lol
My first ever "real" sequencer was a casio sz-1....wow! 4 monophonic tracks...Im showing my age now!!
Seriously though, I have lost count of how many sequences I have done...maybe 500...who knows!
Must say tho, I never get tired of it...love the feeling of hitting "save to mf1" and that satisfaction of sitting back and hearing the puzzle pieces all come together....sheesh! Maybe Its just the 3 packs of cigarettes and 26 cups of coffee that go along with the creation process...lol..
I have uploaded one of my files for anyone to use/listen to/delete....happens to be a rare Neil Diamond track that I did for a friend....happy sequencing all...
I used to write mods on the amiga and sids on the 64. I guess I've actually only written about 4 or 5 midis. Far easier with a keyboard but I don't have one at the moment. I'm using midi's to fill in our lack of a bassist in our band.
i made 2 VERY short ones made by me and i have like 10 half-way done ones...*sigh*...need to work on'em sometime...
I used to doa heap of them....back in the olden days...PRE-PC...
anyone remeber the MC-500???
