Don't you think the speed takes effect with what type of connection your internet takes hold of? Like dial-up, broadband? Oh just curious though. To me the speed is still the same. *haha* That's bcoz I use dial-up connection. Argh. Damn the local internet supplier
Sorry John , havent noticed a whole lot of difference but im on dial up as well....never actually thought there was a problem b4. But if your happy, we're happy!!!
There's some numbers at the bottom of each page that are very significant. I just noticed how much lower these numbers are now then before. (there's ones that you can't see) Sorry to hear you're on dialup
I'm on dial-up too but I've noticed the 'new speed'...... and having been on dial-up forever I've never been a junkie for it.... but I'm likin' it....... oh yeah...... likin' it alot
I think it's great......I can ACtually Connect...as opposed to last week....so anything is an improvement But yes...page loads are alot faster
Yeah, I like the speed, but the page generation times seem.... Higher... Well, here's mine for a thread about the same length as this one: And I'm just using my home PC as the server for my site.
You can definitely see the difference....it was worth taking the site offline for a couple of days for the end result...well done.
I'm on dial up too(56K) but I have noticed it's faster again--like it used to be before it got too busy and bogged down. For the past couple months or so I noticed there were really some problems with speed on big pages like the request forum pages, etc. Thank you very much for the improvement! Terry
