I Need Sound Recorder Application For Windows XP (Please Help)

    i cant find the sound recorder app from the add windows components in the control panel... can anyone please send me the app? i need it to convert some of my wave files... thanks in advance... even sound recorder from windows ME or 98 will work.

    I had the same difficulty on mine, but found it with a bit of sleuthing. I have not used XP for a long time, so the following may not be entirely accurate. Try this:

    • Control Panel
      Add/Remove Programs app
      Windows Setup tab
      Multimedia (double-click)
      Sound Recorder

    i dont have the multimedia option in the add remove windows components... can ya send me the exe file? (usually soundrec.exe or soundrec32.exe) thanks zandro :)

    The application relies on system registries, so it may not function properly if copied alone. I know that sndrec32 is in the cabinets. Seriously, try again, but click on the button that installs programs and look around. I have done it before.
