    Hi everyone

I just started playing the electric guitar a bit ago (I've got a cheapie little black and white Cort) and I use mostly the TAB method...

    But I was wondering...

Has anyone ever had any trouble with this?

Like, finished lessons or whatever and realized they couldn't play with actual sheet music?

I'm kind of worried about that.

And I can't get my fingers to move quickly enough between chords...I have to like, look and look and put them in the right place before playing it..I can't just find it automatically.

    Any tips?

    Mandie

Every guitar player in the world today went through what you're going through now Mandie so don't worry. Quicker chord changes will come with practice. Don't worry about sheet music as it's not necessary in order to play guitar. I'm playing 15 years and i don't use it at all.
    Good luck

Ive got the same problem. I bought a £150 Fender Stradt a couple of months ago as my first guitar, and planned to teach myself. But im finding it difficult as co-ordinating my fingers is nowhere as easy as Id imagined (So naive :p). I guess Ill just have to keep practising. Considering lessons though, just to learn the basics. Any advice would be much appreciated. =)
