Does anybody have recommendations for fixing a KM84?
The capsule is fine, something in the body went south.

I'd prefer not to send it to a boutique mic rebuilder, since the capsule
    is good.

Gotham Service Lab has a porn site in its place, anybody have a number?

    Gotham Service Lab: (212) 967-3120
    5 West 36th Street, Room 504 / New York, NY 10018
Definitely still in business although their Web site is gone.

    Also don't overlook Neumann USA: (860) 434-5220, option 2
1 Enterprise Drive / Old Lyme, CT 06371

Someone mentioned German Masterworks (= Klaus Heyne); he is very busy
and may not be able to help you right away, but he does do ordinary
repairs without modifications if that's what the customer wants.

There's a guy in the San Francisco Bay Area that worked on our Klaus Heyne
Brauner (he was recommended from the Brauner importer, TransAmerica Audio
Group, & he's in contact with Klaus as well). His name is James Gangwer. His
    # is 510-912-0515.
