Microphone HW

    Not sure what you mean. Microphones record real audio not midi information. If you mean to record real audio (singing, guitar ect) direct to your hard disk then a Sure sm58 is a very popular choice

    I think he thinks that MIDI and WAV are compatible and can be converted back and forth. I posted a link to a program that can convert monophonic audio samples to MIDI in real-time via microphone.

    Thanks for the link Zandro, it seems to say it can convert polyphonic to midi. The various threads on these boards say that nobody has found an ideal one for converting more than one mono track mp3 or wav to midi. The links looks good for an mono conversion though.
