Hi guys, bit of a newbie to all this so any help anyone could provide will be a great help. :)

I have some .mid files on my mac that i would like to edit. I basically want to cut sections of them or trim them down a bit. I would like some good software to do this that will run with Mac OSX 10.2. I have heard a lot about programs like Cubase and Cakewalk etc etc. but would like to hear what real people think of them.

Can anyone give me any advice on some good software that will allow me to edit the .mid files as explained above?

    Thanks

    My choice

In my homestudio I use Logic Gold 5.5 right now together with the EXS 24 II sampler which is an integreted part of Logic

The program has a lot of cool stuff to offer you

Thanks for the info on that. I did know that Apple had bought emagic.

Any ideas on any free software that I might be able to get hold of?

    Cheers

I am using a product called Master Tracks Pro ...
    http://www.gvox.com/
They are selling it for $79 online ... maybe not as powerful as Cakewalk etc. but a good solid product.

    Check it out ...
