is there any software out there that i can use to edit midi's?? i need to shorten them so they can fit on my phone. i want to be able to take certain sections of a song rather than just the beginning of the song if that is possible.

A version of Pro Tools is available free - don't know how good it is for midi editing, but you can check it out at http://www.digidesign.com/ptfree/ (urgh, I sound like a used car salesman)

Anvil Studio is close to the best you can get without paying a single cent.

You can also try Aleggro and Capella. These softwares are very useful for creating music sheets, or printing music sheets from existing MIDI files. You can also scan a music sheet and these softwares can make a kind of OCR to MIDI format!
    That's really nice!

oneder, I've deleted your trash posts that you posted in other threads. Please don't trash post, it is totally pointless. They will only get deleted and if you persist, you'll get banned.

I use midi system from the beginning ! And i have nearly all the progs ! Tried all ! I use many programs , but the best midi editor is this

    http://www.iddincusa.com/idd/StoreModules/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=603

Just try it , you 'll love it !

I repeat , this is the best midi editor ! But i use and other prog like Steinberg Cubase to can use VSTi programs (like Steinberg Virtual Guitarist) in conjunction with midi files !

    Doru :)
