Many are not aware of midi samples and their potential for recording. I use samples mostly for drums(percussion). Withe the right software you can sample any sound, then paste them onto a midi track in any speed, pitch or length, AWESOME!
No not in wav form, I use virtual instruments within Cubase vst but i've seen wav samples available for download on some ftp sites.
yeah Im using Battery as a vst instrument in cubase but I cant seem 2 load in a full kit the only way Ive had success so far is to load in single samples in wav form any ideas?
Ive got battery working now so I'll stick with it for awhile many thanks to playhouse! I might start another thread to discuss soundfonts etc. is that what virtual instruments in cubase is? is it actual live samples(sound fonts) or midi samples?
Is there any such thing as software synth based drum samples? percussion and rhythm tracks are my downfall in sequencing, I would LOVE to know if there is a way to avoid having to go out and get a BOSS rhythm box to 'lay down' tracks to sequence to.
