Many midi sites sprung up originally because it was easyer to download a very small midi file using a slow connection. With the introduction of broadband and mp3 people can download the real thing just as easily so many midi sites are finding there services becoming more select. There will always be those who use midi to record there own stuff so hopefully it will always be available somewhere.

    For a start, go to:
    http://www.sf2midi.com/

Register, then click the "Download Midi" tab at the top, there're 3,552 .mid available as I'm typing these words.

Don't forget the SoundFonts users, including myself, have uploaded there.
