is there a program that i can convert midis to chords
sorry, what do you mean? midi files contain chords?
theres a program called Guitar Pro that you can create tabs of songs and it will convert them to midi
you can also import a midi file and it will convert it to guitar tablature
I think Guitar Pro 4 is the latest version
there is another program that does the same thing(converts tab to midi and vice versa) but I cant remember what its called
you can use cakewalk to show the chords name while playing.
just read the help/manual on cakewalk.. you'll find it.
there are mp3 to midi programs
MP3 to MIDI programs? Where? How much? I must have this.
yeah i need it to^^^^^
Band in a Box version 12
and I from memory one of the cubase doodads do it - like cubase Score or some thin like that - but very definitely BIAB
midi to chords
Cubase Score vst and Cubase SX both this very well. I use this feature often to put together lead sheets of music for musicians I play with.
Amadeus Opus Lite (now called Finale I think) will import your midi file and you specify how may parts in the one chord say in your string midi track and the score shows all midi and the correct amount of notes (or voices) for the strings etc. I use it and it works well.
You will have limited success with a monophonic instrument or voice, but none of them will work with a polyphonic input - and they never will, it's an impossible task.
mp3 --> midi
Take a look at Intelliscore. The results ar not astonishing but with litte practice, you can extract quite usefull information from mp3.
It makes quite good harmony (chords) guesses.
