Those sites are being taken down for obvious reasons. Try a pro MIDI web site if you want good quality midis. I'd rather 100 midis I can use than thousands of the crappy stuff people post up :). Cheers, Marty.

drinking the kool aid ? .. they have no variety or new material worth any weight for my wallet .
If I can find a useful beat, I can make a midi . HTrax has discontinued songs that were on their lists previously , ..now it's just rap & crap . I wondered why I came back to this 'ghost town' :(

'HT Clearing house' may be a new name to consider . I got all my file from 'midi hub' like them ,
I was never as capitalistic about selling free sh** others made possible in newsgroups. :(

I think you have the wrong hit trax. The one I use has a wide variety of midi files and they release new songs every week. My 2 and 3 piece bands play anything from big band to rock'n'roll, 69's90 classic hits and occasional top 40. I don't like the rap songs either but they have to cater for different muso's. Go www.midi.com.au and have a look around. I think you'll realise their catalogue is much different to your description. If you have questions you can contact them. I usually chat with amelie or john or daniel.
