Okay well I'm new at this drumming stuff (Can't you just TELL by the topic?;) ) and I was wondering if anyone can help me by naming all of the parts of the drumset, because I've got lessons tomorrow, my first lessons, and I've heard that this teacher's really tough on newbies, so basically, I wouldn't want to get beat.

You're probably going to have more trouble remembering rudiments. (http://www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments.html) I would imangine that's what you're going to start on then move to the drumset. Get a real-feel practice pad and you'll be set.
