Is there a way to convert MP3 files or regular CD files to MIDI format?

there ARE programs that claim to do the trick.... but none really work.... the only way to get a good MIDI is a good ear and a little talent!

The programs that work at all, do there thing best when converting only one instrument at a time. Its too much to expect software to not only convert a sound to midi but to also sort out all of the different instruments in a band.

I have a program called noteworthy composer that I use just to compose all my midis, once converted to midi I can't find any good program in order to convert it as an mp3. besides, midis are more fun anyway even if mp3s sound more professional. :)
