What's the best program to use to compose drum beats, or even snare pieces?

For that stuff I use Sibelius 2. Its a great program if you know how to read music and such. It also lets you compose countless other types of music such as symphonic band or orchestral music.

id stick with FruityLoops... its the simplest and easyest one around... but cakewalk is awesome..

perhaps you would also be interested in Re-Birth or Reazon, maybe even orian.. Sonar.. possibilities are endless... check out NI, they have to official Linkin Park drumming program --> Native Instruments
