    Oh my!

"Created in the sultry mists of the Mississippi Delta"
"... (he) was raised on the mournful melodies of Mississippi field
hands whiling away long hours as they picked the endless rows of
cotton, the bone-chilling wail of bottleneck slide played on nameless
    old guitars..."

    And my favorite:
"I have attempted to capture for you the elegance of this uncommon
instrument's design and construction in the accompanying photos.
    Notice the... exquisite soldering job..."

    Anyone need a copywriter?

Meridian Mississippi isn't in the Delta at all. Peavey was a hack
electronics wanna be, not a guitarist. They didn't start making guitars
    until the eighties IIRC.

Oh c'mon now George. Have you forgotten all the "mournful melodies of
Mississippi field hands whiling away long hours as they picked the endless
rows of cotton". As for Meridian being in the Delta, don't you know that
the rest of the world thinks that Mississippi IS NOTHING BUT a delta. The
only "bone-chilling wail" I hear in Meridian these days are the police
sirens. Peavey can keep it. His stuff is as crappy as the town it comes
    from!

I remember when I first moved to Mississippi. Drove across the state line
and saw a sign that said 55 in big numbers. Thought it was the speed limit.
As I go closer I saw the small lettering that said "Collective IQ of this
    state is..." :-O

Well... I'm a carpet-bagger too, but I now appreciate the whole "Mississippi
sucks" thing. It keeps the rest of the world from moving here! Ya'll go
    away now, hear?
