OT- Anybody use TC Electronics M-One XL Dual Effects Signal Processor? Urgent, need help please

  1. Hi

I have a TC Electronics M-One XL Dual Effects Signal Processor and prog. the
"effects" into each midi song with patch changes etc. However, I could do
with some SIMPLE advice here in that I just cannot seem able to find an
"effect" that I can happily use for the faster songs. i.e. when speaking
(say before or after a song), I use the "by-pass" so that there is no
echo/reverb, etc, and when singing I use no. 29 "effect" which is "Bright
Hall & Delay". But I really need a different "effect" choice for the faster
songs, as they sound too "echoey" with the present no.29!

I have been through all 200 "effects" one-by-one, over and over again, and
just can't settle on any one of them for these faster songs. If someone out
there uses one of these units, perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing with me
what you have chosen as your "effect" for the non-ballads/faster type songs.
(We have an important gig coming up this Friday eve. and any help before
then would be greatly appreciated, as I will need to amend the patch changes
in the appropriate songs before Friday!)

    Thanks

    Carolynne

Where's the law that says you MUST use an effect?

Is there a simple short reverb in that box? Only just noticeable when
you check it out. That would do if you insist on an effect.

If there isn't one in the presets, edit one. You've got 100 user
slots in that box. Just a small room reverb, around 1.7s.

Like all such boxes, the presets are designed to sound impressive.
What you actually need is often much more simple.
