I turn 23 today - born 27th August 1980, at about 21:00 GMT, in the Dunbar Hospital in Thurso (not 3 miles from where I am typing
    this message).

So far I have been given Terry Pratchett's latest Discworld book, "The Wee Free Men", and will be reading that later tonight.

I suppose a little sing-song from the hoopiest frood in all of Apedom - none other than JMT - is out of the question ? :O)

    Thanks !

    Fortunately I don't drink - but I'm sure that there's a couple of
Shriners out there who would be more than willing to take a dram on my
    behalf :O)

Mine's either an Irn Bru or a Cherry Coke ;O)

I tried that once; sent a bottle to a friend in the States.

Cost a packet to send, and an empty bottle arrived. Never again :O(

"Thief Of Time" is absolutely brilliant.

Think "Matrix" meets "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon", in the Discworld's own
    brilliant style :O)

I bought "Soul Music" not too long ago - 'Music With Rocks In' - classic :O)

    >Do you think that jmt might be our very own rmmp Librarian?

I think I heard him singing from here - so I think possibly he may be too
noisy to ever spend any time in a library.

I have a remarkably sweet tooth.

PS - I have been told that there's no better hangover cure
than Irn Bru, in a cold glass, straight out of the 'fridge.

    With or without ice.

It's also supposed to be quite nice when mixed with a fine
    single malt.

LOL! I'll remember that next time "Gardeners' World" is on the telly.

Although I do have to say that "Ground Force" is a more entertaining
gardening show, if only because of Charlie Dimmock's bra-less habit )

(No I don't actually watch either show - far better things to do with
    my time)

I've heard the same, but I didn't drink enough in Scotland to warrant
    finding out.

What is this "with ice" of which you speak? See it in an American television
    programme?

Pfffff. The only thing to mix with a fine single malt is a wee bit of water
from the same source that the distillery used.

    Yes.
Its the combination of liquid (for rehydration) and sugar (for
    energy). Cant beat it.

    > With or without ice.

Ice? Ya Ponce. Irn Bru is meant to be drunk straight from the
    can/bottle.
