    I need to replace an A7827. I believe it's a voltage regulator. It's
in a TO220 package. I can't find any info on it, not even a cross
reference on NTE's site. I searched Digikey, Mouser, Allied. Any info
or ideas would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

A 7827 would be a positive 27V regulator. I do not think such a thing
exists. There is a 7824 regulator, though. You could turn it into a
27V regulator by sticking a zener in the ground lead in a pinch.

If it says "A7827" I would suspect it might be a 2SA7827 transistor.
There is a 2SA782 transistor out there in that package, I know.

What is this out of? Have you got a schematic?
