nick amoroso wanted everyone in rec.music.makers.percussion to know that

"Seymour, the house is on fire!"

"No mother, it's just the northern lights."

I like that Skinner/Mother exchange almost as much as:
"Seymour, are you looking at naked ladies?"

"No, mother." (he's using a computer)

    "Sissy."

The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) happen all around the year I think if
you are in the correct position to see them, the more northerly the better.
They are linked with Solar flares. Here's a link.

I didn't see them over Lake Superior, I was 1 day too late, but I did see
them over Boulder Lake, near Boulder Junction (what a cool place). We were
too far south apparently for colours but they were like huge ghostly clouds
zipping and rippling across the sky and they seemed to converge on a point
above my head where they circled and moved about, I was sober - honest guv.
I can definitely how an indigenous people could view them as being of or
    from the Gods.

From I was 5 years old they were a thing I wanted to see - awesome, just
    awesome.

    What a trip!
